FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

What PharmaBridge does today for suppliers, buyers and logistics partners, what it doesn't, and what's still to come during the proof of concept.

General

What is PharmaBridge?
PharmaBridge is a verified B2B marketplace for pharmaceutical and cell & gene therapy materials. Suppliers list products with their licences and certificates, buyers search and compare verified suppliers, and both sides negotiate and place orders privately on the platform.
Who is it for right now?
During the proof of concept we're starting in India with GMP-certified manufacturers as suppliers, buyers such as therapy developers and manufacturers who source from them, and logistics partners who carry their shipments. Other pharma suppliers (non-GMP) are planned after the proof of concept review.
What is the proof of concept?
A focused pilot running from October 2026 to April 2027 with a group of design-partner suppliers and buyers. It aims to answer four questions: will sellers list products and documents here, will buyers search, negotiate and order here instead of over email, does lot-level tracking work, and what's still missing for real orders.
When can I start using it?
Supplier onboarding is planned to go live in early January 2027, buyer search, negotiation and ordering in February 2027, and the first real transactions with design partners in March 2027. Buyers can sign up and browse before their account is approved. Dates may shift as we learn.
What does 'AI does the typing, people confirm' mean?
When you upload a document, AI reads it and pre-fills the matching form fields, showing where each value came from. Nothing is treated as confirmed until a person at your company has checked each field and accepted or corrected it.

Suppliers

How long does supplier onboarding take?
About 15 minutes to sign up, upload your documents and confirm the pre-filled details. Our team then verifies your company, which usually takes 2 to 3 working days.
Which documents do I need?
Typically your GST registration certificate, PAN, a cancelled cheque or bank letter, your drug manufacturing licence, and your WHO-GMP or Schedule M certificate. ISO certificates, CoAs and your catalogue or price list are helpful too. PDFs and phone photos both work.
Can I list products before I'm verified?
You can prepare product drafts, including ones AI creates from your catalogue or price list, while verification is in progress. Products are shown to buyers once your company is verified and you've confirmed and published them.
We have more than one manufacturing site. Is that supported?
Yes. A company can add several sites, each with its own licence and GMP certificate, because GMP compliance is site-specific. Each site is validated and earns its Site verified badge separately.
Can several people from my company use the same account?
Yes. You can invite colleagues and give them roles such as owner, admin, member or QA reviewer, so the right people can manage documents, products and quotes.

Buyers

How long does buyer onboarding take?
About 10 minutes to sign up and tell us about your company and programme. Approval by our team usually takes 1 to 2 working days. You can browse listed materials while you wait.
What can I do after I'm approved?
From February 2027 you'll be able to search and compare verified suppliers, send requests for quotes, negotiate with offers and counter-offers, and turn an accepted offer into an order.
Do suppliers see my programme details?
No. The details you share about your therapy programme and stage are visible only to your company and our team, never to suppliers. A supplier sees your company name only when you send them a request for a quote.
Can I compare suppliers side by side?
Yes. You can compare listings and see each supplier's verification status and certificate details, such as licence and GMP certificate validity. Supplier bank, PAN and GST documents are never shown to buyers.

Verification & quality

What does the Verified badge mean?
It means our team has reviewed the supplier's company and regulatory documents, such as GST, PAN, bank details, manufacturing licence and GMP certificate, and checked that they are consistent and in date. It is based on documents, not on a site visit.
What is the Site verified badge?
A second badge, awarded per manufacturing site after our team has validated that site with a GMP checklist visit, in person or by live video. It is valid for 1 year, and the supplier can request a renewal from 60 days before it expires. Buyers see it on product cards and in comparisons.
How does a site visit work?
A supplier adds its manufacturing sites and requests a visit. Our team prioritises visits by risk: sites with no badge yet, a badge close to expiry, live orders, cold-chain or CGT products, an open supplier request, or a long time since the last visit. The visit follows a GMP checklist aligned to India's Revised Schedule M and WHO GMP, from the quality system, premises and utilities to the QC lab, data integrity and validation, with sterile and cold-chain sections where they apply. Findings are graded critical, major or minor, backed by geotagged, time-stamped photos, and a second reviewer makes the decision. The supplier sees the outcome; our internal visit notes stay with staff.
Is a site visit a quality audit?
No. It confirms the site exists, matches the documents and meets the basic GMP checks on our list. Buyers still run their own supplier qualification and quality audits.
Does PharmaBridge certify product quality?
No. We verify documents and companies, but we don't test materials or certify their quality. Buyers remain responsible for their own supplier qualification, incoming testing and quality decisions.
Is PharmaBridge a 21 CFR Part 11 validated system?
No. The platform keeps an audit log of changes, but it is not a Part 11 validated system and shouldn't be used as your system of record for GxP purposes.
What happens when a certificate expires?
Expired documents are flagged during onboarding and verification, and an expired licence or certificate needs replacing before it counts towards verification. Automatic expiry reminders are coming soon.

Data & privacy

Where is my data stored?
In Microsoft Azure's Central India region. Uploaded documents are kept in private storage there.
Who reads my documents with AI?
We use Anthropic's Claude to read documents in your vault: to pre-fill forms and questionnaires, read specifications and certificates of analysis, answer your questions about them and check qualification packs for gaps. Documents may be processed outside India for this step, but they are stored only in Azure Central India. We ask for your consent to this under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, before you upload.
Can other companies see my data?
No. Each company's data is isolated at the database level (row-level security). Negotiations and orders are visible only to the two companies involved and our team. Every change is recorded in an audit log.
How are bank details protected?
Bank account details are encrypted and shown masked in the app. Only our verification team can see the full values when they need to check them.
Can I ask for my data to be corrected or deleted?
Yes. You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, or raise a grievance, by writing to us through the contact page. Some records may need to be kept for legally required periods.

Pricing & payments

How much does PharmaBridge cost?
Pricing for the proof of concept is still being finalised. Design partners will be told before anything is charged; nothing is billed without notice.
Who pays for site validation?
During the proof of concept the platform absorbs the cost of site validation.
How do payments between buyers and suppliers work?
During the proof of concept, payments happen offline, directly between buyer and supplier on the terms they agree. The platform records the agreed payment terms but does not handle money.
What if there's a problem with an order?
Raise it with us through the contact page. During the proof of concept our team handles disputes directly with both companies. PharmaBridge is not a party to the contract between buyer and supplier.

Logistics & lot tracking

Can logistics companies join?
Yes. Choose 'I move materials' when you get started. You give your company details (AI fills them from your GST certificate), the temperature classes you carry, your lanes, the states you serve and your GDP status, and you can invite your team. Our team verifies you; only verified partners can be booked.
Which temperature classes are supported?
Ambient, controlled room temperature (15–25 °C), cold chain (2–8 °C), frozen (−20 °C), deep frozen (−80 °C) and cryogenic. Sellers filter logistics partners by class when they book a shipment.
How is a shipment booked and tracked?
The seller books a verified logistics partner for an order. The partner marks the shipment picked up, in transit and delivered, each with an optional note and location. When the partner marks pickup, the order moves to Shipped automatically.
How does lot scanning work?
The seller splits an order into lots, each with a unique code such as PB-7K3M9Q2XWD, and prints QR labels (A6, or four to an A4 sheet). Each lot is confirmed by phone camera scan, or by typing the code, at seller dispatch, logistics pickup and buyer receipt, in that order and only by that party; the database enforces this. Each scan records who, when and optionally where.
What happens if there's a temperature excursion?
The logistics partner uploads temperature logs as CSV, XLSX, PDF or a photo. Readings outside the range for the shipment's temperature class are flagged as an excursion, and the buyer and seller are told.
How is delivery confirmed?
The buyer confirms receipt, either received in good condition or received with issues plus a reason. That is the proof of delivery, and it completes the order.

Coming soonSoon

What's planned next?
Supplier qualification packs, automatic document expiry reminders, required approver sign-off before a buyer accepts an offer, online payments, onboarding for non-GMP pharma suppliers, and supply and market insights.
Will payments move onto the platform?
Not during the proof of concept. Payments stay offline, directly between the companies involved, on the terms recorded on the order.
